Cabier Ocean Lodge
The Perfect Waterfront Location
Set on a charming low headland amidst tropical gardens, Cabier Ocean Lodge is surrounded on 3 sides by the calm waters of Cabier and Crochu bays with a view out over the protecting reef.
On one side is the palm fringed golden sands of Cabier beach, just perfect for a relaxing swim and perhaps a snorkel round through the inner reef, perfect for snorkelling, to Crochu Bay, which is a calm shallow bay.
Cabier's often deserted beach is wide enough and with firm sands to enjoy beach games. Both bays are protected by an offshore reef, creating beautifully clear and calm water with an easy walk in. There is a fresh water shower to clean off on the way back from the beach.
The Lodge enjoys stunning panoramic views across the beach and the bay to the ocean beyond, which can be enjoyed from all the rooms at the Lodge. Each room has its own veranda overlooking Cabier bay. Pleasant foot paths meander through the gardens and along the coast to nearby beaches and bays, as well as to the little villages of Crochu and La Tante.
Cabier Ocean Lodge with 11 rooms, plus the adjacent Two Bays Beach Villa 100 yards away with a choice of accommodation for 2 persons in 3 self-contained apartments and studios, an infinity pool. Cabier has rooms to suit every budget. Free Wi-Fi connection is available and there is mobile telephone reception.
It is your chance to experience how the Caribbean used to be before mass tourism, in a place so natural and quiet you could be on your own private estate. When staying at Cabier you become absorbed into the ambience of the "Cabier family" of local staff run by Alexander and Abigail
Cabier is so relaxed that the days slip by and you wonder what you did - that is really relaxing - or "liming" as the locals would say, and that is what Cabier is all about.
The Cabier family of local staff look after you as if you are one of them, but not forgetting that you are a guest.
Guests can relax in the headland gardens in one of the hammocks slung between trees overlooking the beach and the ocean. Or enjoy a massage with a qualified masseuse in the pavilion on the promontory overlooking the sea.
If you feel more energetic then one of the walking or island sightseeing tours might be for you. Walking along the coast or into the rain forest or more leisurely - the chocolate estate and the rum factory - is often a perfect way to spend a day with dinner back on the terrace to talk over the day's events.
The Terrace Bar and Restaurant
The terrace bar and restaurant is beside Crochu Bay, sheltered from the sun by two mango trees. Serving breakfast, light lunches and table d'hôte dinners - an à la carte menu is also available for lunch and dinner on request. The restaurant offers Caribbean as well as European/Caribbean/Creole fusion cuisine.
Dining under the thousands of stars that arch over Cabier on a warm Caribbean night after a pre-dinner drink at the bar is an experience not to be missed. It is all part of the Cabier experience.
